What is Shopify Markets Pro?

Our longstanding expertise in custom Global-e integrations positions us as a trusted partner in empowering clients to maximize the benefits of Shopify Markets Pro.

Shopify Markets Pro is an advanced feature offered by the popular e-commerce platform, Shopify. Designed to empower merchants and entrepreneurs, Shopify Markets Pro provides users with a range of powerful cross-border management tools and functionalities to expand their online presence, increase sales, and optimize their marketing efforts. With a focus on driving growth and enhancing customer engagement, this feature has gained significant attention in the e-commerce community.

With Shopify Markets Pro, users gain access to a set of tools that facilitate the setup and management of sales in international markets. Additionally, this feature incorporates additional capabilities powered by Global-e, allowing users to scale and optimize their global markets directly from their Shopify admin.

When utilizing Shopify Markets Pro, Global-e acts as the merchant of record. The merchant of record is responsible for legally selling products to customers and adhering to local laws and regulations in various regions or countries.

Typically, merchants act as their own merchant of record, but in this case, Global-e takes on those responsibilities. This includes tasks such as tax remittance to local authorities, accepting local payment methods, and managing duties and import taxes. Merchants can start selling in new international markets quickly without needing to undergo tax registration for each country they sell to. Global-e handles tax registration, ensuring compliance when conducting international sales.

Global e is a 3rd party company which Shopify owns a stake in.

What are the benefits of using this feature?

Simultaneous selling across multiple channels

One major benefit for merchants is the ability to sell their products on multiple sales channels at the same time. Shopify Markets Pro enables seamless integration of their online store to various marketplaces, social media platforms and other related sales channels. In doing so, merchants can expand their reach and access a broader customer range to increase revenue potential.

Advanced data capabilities

With Shopify Markets Pro, merchants can access advanced analytics and reporting to gain valuable insights. This can include overall business performance, tracking sales trends and monitoring customer behaviour. Using this advanced data, merchants can make more informed decisions in optimising marketing strategies and easily identify areas that need improvement.

Additional marketing tools

Shopify Markets Pro offers additional marketing tools and features. Merchants can create custom discount codes to attract new customers, incentivize purchases, and reward loyal patrons. The platform also supports multi-channel advertising campaigns, enabling merchants to reach their target audience through various online channels, including search engines, social media platforms, and partner websites.

Improved inventory management

Inventory management is made more efficient with Shopify Markets Pro. Merchants can manage and track inventory levels across multiple sales channels from a centralized platform. This ensures accurate stock availability information and minimizes the risk of overselling or stockouts. Product information, pricing, and stock levels can be easily synchronized across all channels, streamlining operations and providing a consistent customer experience.

Improved order management

Seamless fulfilment and order management are also supported by Shopify Markets Pro. Merchants can automate order processing, streamline shipping operations, and track packages in real time. This feature enhances efficiency, reduces errors, and improves customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery and effective communication throughout the fulfilment process.

Personalised shopping experiences

In terms of customer engagement, Shopify Markets Pro offers a range of tools to personalize the shopping experience. Merchants can leverage customer data to send targeted marketing emails, recommend relevant products, and create customized promotions. This level of personalization helps build customer loyalty, drive repeat purchases, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Furthermore, Shopify Markets Pro provides a variety of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tools to improve the discoverability of online stores. The platform offers customizable meta tags, URL structures, and other SEO-friendly features, enabling merchants to optimize their store’s visibility on search engines and attract organic traffic.
