Newsletters by Promo.ai is an email marketing app with ready-made templates, that sends newsletters from your Shopify store to your customers. It can also be used to create newsletters, that can be exported and sent through another email platform of your choice.
Quick and easy Newsletters with the Promo.ai app
Newsletters by Promo.ai works in three steps:
- First you select a template for your newsletter. There is a large range of templates to choose from with a range of layouts for different types of send-outs.
- The newsletter automatically gets filled with content and products from your Shopify store and gets styled to fit your branding. The logo is automatically inserted and colours are changed.
- Review the newsletter in the editor, check how it looks on different devices, edit text etc until it is ready – then send.
When sending you can either let the app send it for you (this is when you have to pay for the app – price dependant on number of emails per month) or you can export it and send it yourself using another email platform such as MailChimp, Onmisend or Hubspot.
Something to be aware of is that an app like this will have access to all products, collections, product variants, blog entries etc on your store to fill . It will also get access to personal Identifiable Information (PII) on your store including customer names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and physical addresses.
If you remove the app a request is sent to to erase your customers’ personal information from this app will be sent to the developer of the app after 48 hours.
This app also comes with an analytics tool to keep track of the success of your newsletter, and to inform you how you can improve your send-outs to reach more people.
Overall review
This is a simple app to use with no coding required. There is a useful selection of templates for different types of newsletters. Some examples of template categories are: News and updates, Flash sale, Launch offers and Latest products. There are also seasonal templates for Christmas, Halloween and for mother’s day offers etc.
The editor is easy to use and it doesn’t take long to create a nice looking newsletter. All in all, it is intuitive and saves a lot of time by automating tasks that you would normally have to perform manually. Do remember that you have to get on a payment plan if you want to send your newsletter through Shopify. Exporting and sending it yourself is free.
